10 inch wheels on a fox

5.5 inch backspacing is what you need. I run 10" on mine and have interchanged them with many fox bodies.
In fact the ones on my car in my avatar belong to Capristang and came off his 79 fox (factory fenderwells). They are 15"x10" with 5.5" backspacing.

I had 10 and 10.5 on my old coupe with a 6.5 backspace on the 10 welds. and the bullits were like a 6 3/4 backspace on 10.5 wheel.

I'm sure a 6.5 will fit and after doing a google search that is what the majority of people say. However I also have read that 6.5 limits your tire size on a fox to about 275. I run a 295 tire. I know the sn axles are slightly longer on my 95 but my wheels have been on a fox with no tire sticking out past the top of the fenderwell.
Also read about 79-86 axle lengths were different...Not sure about that though. Mine bolted onto a 79 just fine.

I ran a 15x10 Weld with 6.5bs on my car before the mini-tub. Had a 325/50 BFG DR on it too. I did have to roll the outer lip and "massage" (beat the crap out of) the inner wheel well. Hard to tell from this pic but tires did tuck under the wells and I had no problems after above mods. :bigthumb
