Got a Flaming River manual rack in Oct.of 2010. Zero miles only pushed in the garage. The shaft broke last week loading it on the trailer to go to paint. The exhaust hit the trailer and the header hit the shaft. What would have happened if it broke a motor mount at the 330 foot mark. Flaming River more less said I should have bought the rack later in the project.

With all the bullshit i've read about these shafts, i can't say i'm surprised.

I couldn't find anything about the input shaft breaking on them. Have always heard good stuff about their stuff. To make matters worse they say they don't sell replacement parts. So much for customer service!

Mostly what i've heard is about the allen nuts that hold it together backing out no matter how much locktite you put on them. This is the first i've heard about snapping one.
