1986 doors vs 1988-1993 questions

wanting to do a 88-93 interior swap in my 86, will the door handles mount up to my 86 or do i need to try and find 88-up doors.

Yes. Door handles are all in the same location after '82 or whenever it was way back in the early days when the handles were on the bottom of the door. Keep in mind that the outside dew wipe at the bottom of the window is different, so if you don't change the quarter glass you'll have to get new dew wipes and weld up some holes.

Nevermind i misread that...thought you were swapping the whole door. If you're just doing interior, you're fine.

Now that i can't say for sure...but i know guys do interior swaps all the time and i know they're not swapping doors to do it.

The door panels will go on with no problems but the arm rests themselves are were you run into an issue, they mount completely different than the 86's. Not saying that they can't be made to work but they are not a direct bolt on.
