Thinking of buying a new toy

I know this is a Mustang site but I have been toying around with adding another toy to the stable.. I have looked at new SS camaros, An SRT 8 Jeep Grand Cherokee a new Challenger RT or SRT 8. Or maybe a 72 challenger. Opinions please.. Color would be black as it would not be a DD

I have a soft spot for the newer challengers... I would take even a v6 if it was in the cards

Yea I had an 05 Magnum and an 06 SRT 8 300 that I loved but I traded it for the 11 Avalanche.. I love how those drove and rode. I havent driven a challenger yet. But I drove an SS camaro and I didnt fall in love

So you know you love the powerplants. I thought that was the only good thing about the magnum and charger. The new camaros are sharp but there is something about them I can't get past, but also don't know what it is.

Of all the new style/Retro redoes I think the 05 mustang took the cake... until the challenger lol.

Challenger. Thats been one of my favorite cars of the remakes. Love the old ones but as a driver id get a newer one.

I agree get a Challenger, they are nice looking cars. I was sick of Camaro's before they came out because it was in Transformers and then a few years later it finally was available to buy. Plus I would not spend money on a Chevrolet. That's just how I was raised lol.

I rented a new camaro and hated it. I hated getting in it, lane changes sucked. I wasn't impressed at all. But for a fun non ford car I would go for an old challenger or cuda or Buick Stage1 GS

My dad has a new challenger with the 5.7, not a bad car but it has the stupid hill assist brake on it and I am not a fan! Just feels wrong. Now the srt8 jeep i say yeah those things are sexy!

Have you drove a Challenger yet? We were set on buying one and had a demo for a couple days. Loved it at first but after a couple days I lost all interest. It is a land yacht and just was not that impressive.

Unless you are needing three seats in the back I would go with a new 5.0 Mustang.

I have not driven one yet. I owned an 05 Magnum for 65000 miles and enjoyed it and drove a SRT 8 300 for about 50,000 miles and loved it but I needed something to pull a trailer. I traded it for the 11 avalanche I have now. I don't think I will be getting rid of the Avalanche no matter what I do. I also am not sure if I will keep the 89 GT I have depending on the toy. I have sort of lost interest in the GT over the last few years. I have owned it since 2002 and I bet I havent put 5000 miles on it in 10 years. Wife hates not having AC, the ride of it and the noise so we don't go on many cruises together.

I'm probably the only one, but I would take the new SRT 8 Grand Cherokee...hate camaros and the challengers too.....cant beat an 4x4 SUV with 470HP

I would see if you can find a dealer that will let you keep it for a couple days before you decide. I have had a couple Hemi Durango's and would love to have a SRT8 Cherokee. I drove a 3.5 300 in Vegas and it was a nice car too. But all of those are meant to be boats...lol. The SRT Charger is pretty bad ass as well...especially in black.

Well I bought my wife a New Limited Grand Cherokee Black... I went and sat in Challengers tonight. I didnt drive anything though... I also sat in a black 300 S with red leather interior.. It was plush.. I really think I want Black challenger RT with a 6 speed.. but havent found one locally to drive.. I don't get employee discount on fords so that is why I havent looked much at the new mustang

The SRT Charger is pretty bad ass as well...especially in black.

Yeah...I know how that is glad I didn't get in a hurry before I bought my GT...almost settled for an auto...its hard to be patient when getting a new car lol
