easiest way to remove old window tint besides a brick

Have some window tint that has been on for 20 some years, nice and foggy and purple now.. other than a razor blade how can I remove it.. wondered bout my heat gun, heard something about vinegar or bleach and water ??

Razor blade scraper,windex,and Goo be gone spray,that's what I use every time

Soak the tint down with Windex and stick aluminium foil on it. Let it sit out in the sun all day. I have done this before and it works great.

Rip the film off and spray the glass down with soapy water. Let It sit for a few and scrape with razor blade.

Believe it or not WD-40 works great, messy but great!

Put a few drops of dish soap in some windex or amonia/water and spray the window. Cover it with a plastic garbage bag and let it sit for a few hours (in the sun if possible) Check regularly to make sure the film stays wet. If youre lucky, the film will come off with most of the adhesive.The remaining adhesive can be removed with more solution and a razor blade. DO NOT however use it on a rear windo defroster.
By far the easiest way is to pay someone to do it. Figure 1-200 bucks.

Heat gun and a razor blade. I was able to remove the tint on my Roadmaster in less than an hour. I used Goo Gone to make short order of the glue residue.

Have you tried using those old school computer monitors? They make short work of those ugly purple tinted windows!

I tried pissing off my GF, My sister, and My mom off at the same time, ( i have lots of experience at that since i am half a century year old now !)) ,, thought for sure 3 sets of laser beam eyes would melt that crap right off there !!!.. Didnt quite work out like I thought it would. supposed to be a nice day, if i can get home after working midnights, sleep, get the hardened non see through purple hazed tint off my windows, and keep from wearing out the new oversized tires and add to my post count,, i just might make it to filmores tonight.. I should by a lotto ticket when I cross the border to the Holy Land in KY,, by the way, they sure do make good jelly
