im getting ready to do some things to my 2001 GT i got a few weeks ago.I know all about modifying pushrod motors and making cars work.but dont know much about mod motors.its an automatic and im not bustin into the transmission till it needs it.i ran it at a crappy 1/8th mile track a few weeks ago and it went a 9.56 in 1/8th and i know it would have probably went in the 40s at a good surface.i had a 99 GT a few years back and it would run 9.40s and 14.40s at the track and the only thing it had was exhaust just like this car.so im gettin ready to put a cold air kit on it and 4:10 gear.what after that.i want to get it to run as quick as possible before i decide if im gonna spray it or not.ive thought of pullies and stuff but are they really worth the money to do?im gonna take it and have it SCT tuned with a chip on dyno at some point.

You are on the right track. Bolt ons, gears and tune. A shifter will make it feel better too.
