"Hey guys I'm selling/trading my 1990 mustang coupe, ya know the one with a deck lid instead of that ugly hatchback that no one wants. It's green. I have over $100,000 invested. Car runs on about 7 cylinders but sure sounds sweet. However I'm not sure if I wanna sell this as a running car I may pull the drivetrain out and sell that seperately if the money isn't right.
Car has sat for 10+ years, not a factory original v8 but it does have factory original grey interior. You just don't find that anymore. The car is completely rusted out at every corner that there is metal but any good metal fabricator could easily fix it if given an entire lifetime to do so. It's a a super rare color for this year, there were only about 80,000 of them produced. Bad part is when the car caught fire years ago it burnt all the paint off.
You will never find another car quite like this one ever again.
I'm willing to do trades but only for 2011 and up Lamborghinis and Ferraris. Or perhaps a few tons of gold bars or several bags or real clear uncut blood diamonds. Don't waste my time serious buyers only! NO test drives or tire kickers because it doesnt run and has no tires. List of mod are a...
CAI.
Headers.
Beefed up 7.5 rear axle.
New wiring harness or leftover spaghetti from dinner not sure.
Fuel system I never hooked up with lines going to nowhere.
Mini tubbed with a sawzall and stock 10 hole rare wheels and bald tires.
None of thats included though.
It also has a miata windshield duct taped into it and that stays.
I want $42k as is or $41k as a roller and I'll sell the drivertain separately for $10k.
No low ball offers. This is a total steal since they only built 100's of thousands of these cars and their going fast.
Bring a trailer with a strong winch because with no tires, axle, or drivetrain it's gonna be a bit rough getting it out of the creek next to my house."
Does anyone else feel like this is how it is when browsing for Mustangs? People have really lost their minds. I love these cars as much as the next guy but enough already it's getting ridiculous.
End rant :bigthumb

Yes when I was looking for a car it was really hard to find something that wasn't complete trash. I wanted a 94-95 5.0 and it was getting really hard to find one in my price range. Plus everyone of them including the one I bought all seemed to have a salvage title. So I agree with ya.

LOL, that describes about 90% of the ads on craigslist...
It amazes me that the same people that will offer you 20% of your asking price will post ads like this thinking their shit is made of gold.

haha kinda thought this was a real add for a min :-) i bough both my 94 and 97 wrecked 97 had a salvage 94 didn't but the 97 was a vert and iv never owned one so i bough it, dropped a ton of money in it on just parts and blew the engine :-( lol there only one way to learn i guess, now my 94 gt 5.0 has a clear title and i just used my truck to pull the front back so i could put the dog house on it no problem but i took it to my buddy's body shop to have the frame looked at and the shock tower are rusted out and the front frame rail gone completely rusted through:-( learned a lesion on that one i guess, my 93 needed a passenger floor pan, so i just change both side why it was down plus i got a deal on two full floor pans.

Plenty of proud dealers/owners out there with proud prices on their 03/04 stock Cobra Convertibles. 3-5K over NADA retail on asking price in 95% of the cases within a 300 mile range. Most have been on the market for over a year. I don't buy on compulsion.

Glad I could give you guys a chuckle. I laugh every time I read these ads. The sellers always seem like real assholes too. Like their doing you a favor by selling you their P.O.S. for some ungodly price.
I mean honestly people have gotten way too built up on these cars. I mean you would have much better luck finding a deal on 70 Chevelle ss than a mustang (Especially foxbody) not to mention if it has a god damn trunk lid instead of a hatchback lol.
Not saying the Foxes aren't worth some bucks but it seems like the line between beautiful rare mint condition cars and total pieces of shit is getting a bit blurry lol.
Just my opinion.
Glad you guys could enjoy my dark humor over it.

Ran into that problem when I bought my car, not only on mustangs, was looking at Hondas (glad I woke up lol) just for the gas mileage and their the same way, looked at a prelude with an engine swap, guy told me it was the original motor but there wasn't even enough room to check how tight the belts were or get your hand around it in any way... Not to mention the rust and crappy interior, and he wanted $5500...walked away and went to a dealership of all places and bought my 2000 GT for $5800...glad I'm done buying cars for awhile lol
That is absolutely hilarious!!!! thats exactly how i feel i have been looking for a 94-03 vert for awhile or just a 99-03 GT. ridiculous pricing!!

I actually hammered a guy(even posted for you guys to flag his fake ad). He was selling a "1995 REAL COBRA R" which was somehow #387 of 250. I was even nice to him fowarding him all the links he needed to see what he ad but he started calling me names so it was on. I mean everything about it was wrong. He showed me his windshield had a homemade etch job that said cobra R and he said that makes it real. LOL. Got everyone I knew to call him and flag his ad. JUST not Fing cool.
My fav ads are the "excellent condition" mustangs but no motor, drivetrain, interior and minor body work and paint! Hell of a nice console though!

Or they put $1 on the ad. They are just begging to be low balled by everyone but will be mad if you give them an offer that is too low for them. lol

Yes, I made the mistake of puting a dollar once just because I wanted to trade only and had to put a number in there. My car was worth around 8k. I put in the ad I wanted to trade only. And most people figured it out but this lady called me and was completly serious and told me she liked my car but only had 800 hundred to spend. LOL

More like 95%. Most people have no idea how to sell a car On-line and are completely uneducated....ok....STUPID about their descriptions (or lack there of) and shitty or no pictures.
Very frustrating looking to buy cars.....
