I am runninng a C4 with an ati 8" 3500 stall ,3.80 gear and 26,8.5 slicks

From the looks of it I would have to say that you are on your way to getting there. Just hope the pistons and cam will work with everything as well.
How much compression and what kind of cam?
How many cubes?

bad news though broke 8"rearend ,going to replace it with 9"

Look into having a good 8.8 built and fitted for it.

i removed the 8" rearend out and here is pictures of whats left. the pinion gear teeth are all gone. i am working on an 9"and i have 3.50 gears ,for now

Do you already have your 9" rearend? I have a complete 9" drum to drum, very little miles.. It's a Currie housing with 31 spline axels, FRPP big drum brakes, Strange N Case with Detroit Locker 3:55 Gears, Dayton pinion support, 4140 strange companion flange.. You won't hurt this one.. If interested, PM me.. If not that's cool, keep plugging along..
