Went to the track this weekend and saw a rail break the whole center out of his wheel when he left the line. So, thought I'd share some 'oops' I've managed to get shots of over the past couple years.

One thing I've learned over the past couple years is never put your camera down!! Something crazy always happens when you least expect it.

I need a better set-up for the night time shots, the last couple of shots suffered badly from low light and a slow lens, but I figured it was better than having no shot at all :)

Nice captures. Were you shooting auto frame advance, video mode, or single mode? If auto frame advance what is the FPS of the DSLR rig you are using? Thanks.

I usually leave my camera on continuous lo mode, which will shoot 3 fps for 60+ frames total, but I normally don't shoot it bursts. I just leave it in that mode incase I need it. It also has continuous hi mode which will shoot 8 fps, but I very seldom use it.
