Snowbasin hosted the Mens' and Womens' speed events during the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics. Here is the view from the top of the downhill course.

We stay in Park City right near the high school every year. We go first week of February usually but the last few years have been hit or miss on snow, might move it back a month or so.


Snow basin is an awesome place but the weather can ruin that place.

I spent a week in Park City last April with some friends. We saw almost 4 feet of snow and over 4 ft. fell on Snowbird and Alta. I really like that lack of crowds at the northern resorts. You would never get untracked snow 3 days after a storm in the Cottonwoods. :D

Its because the Deer Valley snobs would not dare drive 45 minutes to Alta/Snowbird
