What is the stock oil pressure level to be @ an idle, mine is about 25psi with an aftermarket gage. This car i got has been sitting for 17 months could it be the oil needs changed, someone told me that, but the oil look's new & he said that doesn't matter when they sit the oil can break down anyone else agree?

25 PSI at idle ?? You're fine with that. I wish mine was that high at idle.
I'd change the oil though if it's been sitting that long.

I agree, 25PSI is good oil pressure on a stock pump at idle.

For some reason, i was thinking about 40 psi @ an idle but thanks for the reply
