Spoiler Delete...???

Thinking about taking the spoiler off my 2000 GT, and getting nylon plugs from the hardware store to plug the holes...question is has anyone does this on their 99-04 stang, and have pictures or opinions of the look???

looks good deleted,or you can move the stock one back 2 inches and they look kick ass

See I've got the spoiler that is flush with the trunk lid...and I think with tinted windows and smoked tail lights they look sleek without a spoiler, or I was thinking about getting a pedestal spoiler rather than the one on it???

I'm a big fan of spoilers so I personally would try and find a wing you like better if its the stock one you don't care for. The deleted look would still look good so for now why not take it off and run no wing for a little while then if you find a wing you really like change it. It's not like you can't put something different on it down the road.

Yeah, thats what I'm thinking cause I can get the nylon plugs for under $10, plus I already have the touch up paint so they match, and its not the hardest thing to do...but if I were to go with a different spoiler, will the holes match up?

If youre looking for pictures, theres a black 2003 GT on Dayton Craigslist that used to belong to a 'banger and it has the spoiler delete. They look sick dropped with no spoiler and a small to medium cowl hood.

That would depend on the spoiler I suppose. I would have to imagine that if its a wing made for that year/style it would use the same holes or cover them.

thats how mine is i got rid of the spolier smoked the lights. mine is black. i do not regret it at all. i just have the holes there. plugs dont really stay in very well. ill prob get the holes filled in when i repaint the car

i say go for the regular SVT hood. it has the wider vents that can be closed or opened depending on what you want to do.

Took it off, liked it somewhat, put it back on b/c didn't have plugs to put in the holes, nor the time to clean where the spoiler was, because it was very dirty, might do it this weekend and post pics before and after and see what every one thinks

mine has been off for about 5years. i had plugs in for a couple months. after they fell out. it has never leaked. i wouldnt worry about the plugs

Check out junk yards, you would be surprised how many trunk lids are available (without a spoiler)! No holes to fill!

im not sure what kind of plugs are in mine they look like some type of hard plastic but they stay in and are tight.

It looked great, didn't leak, and they were in there pretty tight. They're silver, so if we ever have a Spring cruise in, I can bring 'em with me and you can have 'em if you want lol.
