With the talk of E85, I know Krogers is starting to clear the area for their new build in Amelia, 45102.

I know it's going to be a fueling station as well. I have requested that they carry E85, and if anyone else in the area is looking for e85, might not be a bad idea to call as well. The more interest, the more likely we could get it.

.40-.50 cheaper a gallon, and the cars will make more hp on the e85 as well.

The phone # is
800-576-4377

Option 5

then

Option 6

Would be a lot nicer than driving by milford to fill up!

Would be a lot nicer than driving by milford to fill up!The only real benefit of E85 is increased HP.

Otherwise, it cost 15% less but you get 15% less MPGs as well. No gain what-so-ever.

I wouldn't fuel up at a Kroger gas station if it was the last gas station left.... I've had nothing but bad gasoline from Kroger fuel stations every time I've been to one. (Different ones) whether it was. Stalling, or bad pinging. Wouldn't expect their e85 to be much better

i've always had great luck with krogers.

the winter blend tested at e75, which i expected, and we just tested yesterday at e85, good to go!

Kroger E85 made over 700rwhp for 2 years with my car and now 950+ with Beefcakes car, so all in all their E85 seems pretty good to me.

And keeps more money in the USA. If E85 stations were plentiful up here I'd run it.

And keeps more money in the USA.Good point as well. Too bad it drives the price of HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup) through the roof. I case you missed it.... HFCS is in everything (pretty much) these days.

BTW, when the Kroger's up here in Troy put in an E85 pump, they did so at the expense of the Diesel pump.

Now there is one less place to buy Diesel fuel up here.

BTW...for a daily driver you can expect more like a 25-30% decrease in fuel economy since a gallon of ethanol when burned produces about 30% less energy than gasoline, but its a great economical race fuel. I just wish I had a pump closer than 20 miles to home.

I deliver E85And his truck uses Diesel fuel to get it around.

E85 can't be put through regular pipelines. Too corrosive. It has to be hauled around in tanker truckers from the refiner to the pump.

We need to go to CNG (compressed natural gas).

Check out this Stang conversion....

Another myth....we have many mild steel drums of pure ethanol in the building at all times and in the 7 years I've worked here I have yet to see one be corroded from the contents.

I know it can't I didn't say I got it from tepco(pipeline) in lebanon and I do pull a tanker

I would say the pipeline issue has more to do with supply and demand than it does with compatibility. E85 pumps are still few and far between. The issue of corrosion is entirely from ethanol's ability to absorb water which can cause corrosion but I don't see E85 or even ethanol sitting in a pipeline long enough for it cause issues.

There is also the logistical issues with where ethanol is produced. Most existing pipelines don't run in the right direction. The corrosion issues that do exist have more to with seals and gaskets than the pipelines themselves. The other issue is that Ethanol is a great solvent and will dissolve a lot of the buildup in the pipelines which can cause issues.

Can't really compare the cost if you are use it as a race gas alternative...$16/gallon vs $3.20...HUGE savings there!

Don't forget it's cooling effect it has as well!

If using it for a daily driver..yeah, it's bullshit

I'm not too familiar with the area, but is that the one that has the cruise-ins on Fridays during the summer by the steak and shake and wendy's? If so, i'll stop there before heading to the dyno tomorrow.
