Everyone seems to be out of stock on upper receiver/barrel assemblies. Looking for a 16" A4 light barrel 1:7 or 1:9 twist open to carbine and mid length. Aim surplus has some "R" guns assemblies in stock but I haven't been impressed with the reviews.

Spikes, daniels defense, or bcm.

yes yes and yes, either there is a serious run on things or inventory controls are in full effect. Del ton shows in stock but when you call them they have no inventory and wont even quote a lead time. Same with Spikes and BCM.

Midlength or carbine? Bravo company has a plenty of uppers sans BCG and handguards - just add some MOE handguards and a carrier group from them and you're good to go.

At the Fairgrounds. Sorry, its called the Indy1500. I missed the 1. I bought an upper there late last year. They have at least 6-8 vendors there that carry complete uppers. Along with the regular crew of people that carry them around. This show is about 5 times larger than sharonville or dayton.
Like I said,Id be more than happy to give you a ring if I see some thing your interested in. The show is open this Friday,Saturday and sunday.

Will they sell guns to out of state residents?

Uppers are considered parts - the only part that's a firearm in an AR is the lower reciever. Everything else can be mail ordered to your house, no FFL required at all.
Long guns are easily bought by out of state residents, in states bordering them. Text of the law is anywhere in the USA, but it's hard to find a shop that will honor the letter of the law unfortuantely.

Shotguns, rifles and the such they will sell. I also bought a shotgun last year from there. This show does not let down. I also heard that there will be an ammo crunch on .223/5.56 and they always have skids of it there. I reload my own so I dont have to worry about it.
As mentioned be jeep45238,the upper is not considered anything but a part. Kinda like buying a candy bar,you pay them and you walk out with it. Only you would have a wheelborrow full of candy for that much.

I traded one of my Dads shotguns to a vendor there last year for a pistol. It has to be sent to a local FFL dealer in your town.

The Knob Creek Machine Gun shoot is coming up in April as well. Tons of venders there too. Plus the machine guns going off and blowing stuff up. I may be going on Saturday. Check out... machinegunshoot.com

Seriously check out the FN FNS-9 (or FNS-40 if it's out and you like .40S&W). I can't find a single thing I would change on it, and I own NO guns that are bone stock (and no gun ever stayed stock long in my hands for long). It's a pretty impressive piece. It stays spooky clean too - 2500 rounds through one of my coworker's, and it looks like mine do after 50 or so rounds.
Look for an ongoing review sometime in April.

Just got home from work. We didn't get any uppers in today, nor do we have any on order.
But, we did get in (in addition to our already decent AR selection):
Barret AR15 5.56
FN SCAR 5.56
Arsenal 7.62x39 AK w/ AK100 folding stock
Rock River Operator 5.56
Stag Model 3
We should be getting in 10 different kinds of Bravo Company AR's in tomorrow as well.
