For all the race car guys on here, especially road race guys, what is the point of putting a freeze plug in the factory opening for the mesh filter and PCV valve? I ran into this yesterday. 331 out of a road race car. I can't remember if it had a valve in the old valve covers or what, but it really caught me off guard. Can someone explain? Thanks

I was thinking it may of had dual PCV valves that went to a catch can or something. I may just call the guy who had it and see what he says. I dread pulling it apart to remove it more than anything! I may do a PCV in the drivers side valve cover. It already has a grommet on that side for a breather.
