View Full Version : GT40P Heads Ready to Install w/ New TF Kit

These heads were on the Mountaineer motor I bought to install in my former project car. The car is sold and I no longer have a need for them.
In preperation for the motor build the heads were resurfaced being decked .010", hot tanked, and had a 5 angle valve job done. A brand new Trick Flow valve spring kit was installed at that time as well.
Price is $665 FIRM and No Trades. (Price reflects what I have in them and what you would spend to have the same work done.)
Work was done by Mike at Dayton Performance.

This is another one of those situations where you get what you pay for. Yeah, for a little more you could get aluminum heads, but if you wanna do P heads and you pay for a valve job and all that these have done to them, you're gonna pay. I have almost $800 into my C9 heads after new valves and such.

Thanks...everyone. Not making anything off of them, just selling them for what I have in them and what anyone would unless they can do their own machine work.

The bolt holes will have to be machined from 7/16" to 1/2".

Not really, they are better than stock but not enough head for a 347 if u really want to make any power.

They would be better than stock heads, and would be good if it is all your budget will allow at the time. But at some point you would want to step up to some larger aluminum heads to get the 347's full potential.
But you could buy these for now and sell them when you get your aluminum ones. :bigthumb

Thanks for the info, and the honesty. I haven't built a small block ford yet and I am slowly learning the ins and outs. This website is a big help. Now to figure out what heads to use. Thanks and good luck with your sale.
