Spring, 2012 Street Car Shoot-out!!

On Saturday, APRIL 21st, 2012 Street Cars from all over the area will meet at the Old Kmart parking lot in Forest Park Ohio. (12171 Omniplex Ct, Cincinnati, OH 45240) We will meet then drive to Tri-State Dragway to see who is the Baddest Street Car in the area.

Registration is from 11:45am-1pm. You MUST register between these hours in order to participate in this event. You will give your name, address, color & type of vehicle that you will be driving. You will also receive a 2012 SCS Sticker which will need to be displayed on the lower front Driver side of your car.

At 1pm, we will fire up the cars and head out to Tri-State Dragway. Participating vehicles will be DRIVEN under their own power to Tri-State. Support Vehicles/Tow Vehicles can driven at the tail end of the convoy.

The route is simple....Head out of Kmart, turn right onto S Gilmore/Winton rd. Turn right onto I 275 (WEST). Travel to Colerain Ave (US 27) (Exit 33A/B) turn Right off exit. Travel North on 27 to Hwy 128 Ross Exit. Turn Right off exit and travel to Tri-State Dragway. (4 1/2 miles on Right)

You will tech in with Tri-State and adhere to all their Rules and regulations. Once you have your number, you can make as many runs as you want.

After your run and you receive your run ticket from Tri-States ticket booth, you will need to stop by the SCS Pop up. It will be located near the ET Slip booth.
You will tell the SCS Official your Name and he in turn will check your time slip against the number on your car. Your run will be recorded in the Registration book (from Kmart) and the top 16 at the end of the day, will be awarded the Top 16 Stickers! Number 1 will also receive a Plaque.

As the day goes on, we will notify all participants what the cut-off time is and when to meet at the SCS Pop up to hand out the Top 16 Stickers.
Once the top 16 is sorted out, we ask the drivers to head to the staging lanes to be paired up for the Heads Up Shoot-out!!

1vs16................2vs15
3vs14................4vs13
5vs12................6vs11
7vs10................8vs9

The overall Winner will receive a Heads-up Shootout Plaque and a SCS "WINNER" sticker.


Cost for this.......Whatever TS charges for Test & Tune. Cincy Speed is supplying the Plaques and stickers.

I hope to see everyone there, Daily Drivers, Street Cars, Race cars disguised as Street cars, Diesels....whatever. Bikes can run, but will not be in the hunt for the Top 16.

I have been lurking for a long time. I am looking forward to the street car shootout and meeting some locals. My car is not as fast as some, but has recently turned 10.35 @ 133 with a fairly soft tune.

I got a buddy bringing his turbo car as well and hopefully we can get the Dart back down there to improve its last 2 times as #7!!! Let's see a show of hands on who is going to be there!

There was several ls there last year. Ray who took second to no shot has since gone 9.7 last year and did work over winter so he should b there, as well as josh in his silver TA who I believe took third or fourth last year

i'm out, even if they end up running, track will never come around, too cold, i doubt many people will show up for reg test n tune.

i imagine most regulars are already making other plans

Just got off the phone w/ Craig, it has been confirmed that the Spring SCS is still in full swing. Everybody is to still meet at the K-Mart on Winton rd. in Forest Park. As everyone knows it is still a steady flow of on and off again sprinkling. Still come out even if you decide not to run and support your fellow Bangerz that have decided to make things happen for this event.

Update, Craig just called back and said that TriState just cancelled on their end. Craig also wanted to mention that they are going to go to Quaker Steak & Lube on Colerain if anyone wants to hang out. Reschedule to be announced at a later date.
