I posted pictures of Duplicolor spray cans and the clear. I just wanted to show you guys that you can get a great looking paint job on an extremely low budget. As prep is the key to any great paint finish.

I did not post a how to paint guide, But I will say every stage was wet sanded and cleaned before the next. clear finished 1500-2000 grit wet sanded then finished with Meguiars rubbing compounds, polish and NXT tech wax.

Get those old panels painted.. Good luck.

That looks great! Ive had great luck with spray bombing parts and engine bays but never attempted a big body panel. Makes me want to attempt to do my front bumper, cant hurt, it looks like s**t anyways.

At some point Duplicolor actually had a red Fox LX on their site under the user submitted images, someone painted their entire car in red Duplicolor and then cleared it with regular auto clear coat. It looked awesome...not sure how long it'll hold up though. Some spray paints are super tough...there's a lot of truth behind the Rustoleum roll on paint jobs.

I've done a few rims in Rustoleum professional...that's some nice paint for rattle can. Here's the rims off my old Merkur:

They looked as good as any powder coat i've ever seen.

The most time consuming part was just sanding out orange peel(pits) in the cured paint/clear. But as it sits now the paint looks 100% better than the rest of my car. lol I am painting the entire body in my garage this same way one piece at a time. I will keep you guys posted.

I'm wanting to spray my front bumper, do they make spray cans that are closer to automotive colors that aren't your basic red, black, etc.?

Spraymax from koi has a hell of a line. They can inject any factory color with ppg base into it. They also sell 2 part primers and clears. You bust a thing on the bottom of the can and shake it to activate it. I've used it many times. Good stuff.

Good but depends on a small or big area vs cost
