If I put a 9" rearend under my 04 Cobra, will that disqualify me from competing in the Thursday Night Lightz racing?

I could be wrong, but i think it reads "stock style"...i know a lot of people use 8.8's in 03/04 cobras

Are you going for KOS or one of the other classes?

It is normally considered stock style as long as it attaches to the stock body mounting points. Now this is how everyone does it at every racing I know of. If they do it that way I am not sure, never been to any of there events.

No you can put a full axle on it. Just can't do ladder bars etc. you can use bolt on control arms just can't use a modified rear set up ex. Ladder bars

Ladder bars and four links are out of the question. You can however use aftermarket trailing arms etc. But from what I heard they may be adding classes or changing things around due to some questioning ricers about them being street cars. *Once again ricers are mad because they were beaten* and another thing. your car can't have a sponser. it has to be yours titled and tagged and you can trailer it in.

How big is the normal crowd at these events? I got a card about it at the indoor show in Cincinnati and was thinking about running my notch.

x2 the no sponsers thing would probably knock a few out from the get go if people wanted to be dicks about it.

Exactly. Going to be real controversial if that info is true.

I highly doubt there is any truth to that statement.

Yeah that's another rule... no sponsered cars are allowed. last year there was i think 9 sec 350z that had sponsers posted all over, and not suited for the speeds either that got kicked out.

Please post link to these "rules" you are talking about. With all due respect, I don't think you have any idea in what you're talking about.
Do you have something to beat these "ricers" you are mentioning?

Well I know charlie polly that had the primered camaro last year that won several king of the street events... and Joe Robinson that raced king of the street and won knight of the street. These are they rules they told me about. Especially charlie since he is an eight sec camaro. They look over his car really well. Oh yeah you have to have tags insurance and registration as well. They will inspect you so be sure you have factory style suspension

I have a few friends down there that were racing last year. and i know people how hung out with zerolift. Charlie Polly in the grey camaro. They were trying to fight with him about his car as it passed. He won king of the street many times. These are the restirctions he told me about. I also know joe robinson in the new mustang that ran king of the streets and down tuned his car to win knight of the streets. I was also there when the 350z went down the track and won everything. he ended up getting kicked out becasue he was a sponsered car and wasn't approved to run that fast because that was a badass car... I want to say he had eights. but the car was barely able to pass the 10 sec roll cage regs.

Cool story bro!
But, you might want to ask Chawlie again about the 350z...he won the night he showed up...

Yeah but he was denied to get the trophy and had to forfeit the trophy due to way his car was setup and sponsership.

The only thing that matters is the money...he got the money and went home.

I dont know where your info comes from,I was there watching Jon in the 240 get drug down the 1320 by that sponsored 350z. Nothing against Jon as that 240 is one wicked beast. Charlie wasnt even there the night the 350z was. The following week the 350z lost King of the street because he didnt show and Jon got it back. No one "down tuned" there car,it was a matter of who could make the run without breaking out,so the brakes were being used at the big end of the track.

I ran in the last race of the year in the Prince of the streets last year and made it to the end and not sure who the guy was. But the current Prince at that time had a Evo that ran 10's and was on the brakes. That same bullshit was fed to me as well. He down tuned his car to run in this class so I better watch out. I think they were shocked when I gave him a run at his own game. When we ran the best 2 out of 3 at the end he beat me first round. I beat him second round and the 3rd round he got me by a **** hair(.0074). I was running quicker than the 11.50 cut off as well. I had him covered the whole track from the start and lifted just a smidge to soon. I dont sandbag very well.

the evo wont be there next year, it's been sold. As for the other rumors about not being able to be sponsored, this is not the case
