when you decideto buy a coil-over kitand stuts,how do oyu determine what spingrate might be best for for oyur application????????????

Figure out what you current spring rate equates to at the wheel- i.e. the wheel rate.

If you like how the car rides now, you want to maintain that wheel rate. If you want it stiffer, you want a higher wheel rate.

The geometry of the suspension comes into play when calculating wheel rate. So, depending on where the spring is- it acts differently on the wheel.

You need to go to corner-carvers.com and do some searching on “wheel rate”.
