predator hand held tuner any good?

a tuner is a tuner. it flashes programs to your computer and reads trouble codes. some have a few more adjustable features then others but usually they are not needed. I personally like the SCT stuff but Diablo is good too.

usually slight gains are seen with the canned tunes, much better results are seen with custom dyno tunes. Like bob was saying, a programmer is a tool, like a wrench for your computer so to speak. The tuner is only as food as the tunes written on it, but any tuner can be programmed with new tune.

Have to find someone that programs in Diablosport. I know I don't, you'd have to check with either cincy speed or s&m and ask if they do.

If your stock or just have a couple bolt on parts... you should be fine. I have a five speed and seen a lot of difference with a canned tune. I just recently built my engine and have some issues and seen easy street quoted me an additional 450-600 dollars for a dyno tune... But probably going to take it somewhere else since they have no expierence in tunning six cylinders and aren't liable for mechanical failures.

You can also pay 50 dollars and get on diablosports webpage and someone will take your engine specs and get you a custom tune that way... Like I said that's only 50 bucks for a custom tune

i have a sct x3 tunner for sell if interested? it has 2 custom tunes for my old 4.6 engine on it, it had long tube headers/uncated h pipe/slp catback/stage 2 pi heads/pi cams/underdives pullys/78 mm bbk throttle body, also has the factory sct tune and of course you have the opiton to tune your self, someone like adam could make you a nice tune with just your laptop
