I have a few question about putting Ford 9in ends on my sra. I was told I should do this. Where do I get them? How much will cost to have them put on my 99 gt rearend? Are the axels for a 9in different from an 8.8 when I order them? Sorry for such a dumb question but I dont know anything about them and I need to figure out which way to go. Any pic would help.

Thanks,
Tommy

So this is what I found on Moser's website. Seems like I would lose my abs. Not sure if I want to do that.

You can buy the Strange ends from Jegs for about $70. The axles are different and the bearings will have to be pressed on. You will also need to know which brakes you will be running.

You may be better off just using the rear like it is and getting a set of 31 spline mosers and a 31 spline trac lok.

That's what I'm thinking

If your not planning on narrowing it its cheaper and easier to just go that way.

I got my ends from Craig and had Rob at RRC cut the old flanges off and weld the new 9" ends on. I ordered my axles directly from Moser as they really weren't cheaper anywhere else. Get rid of that stupid abs lol. It's a good time to have the tubes welded up and to add some axle braces.

I like the new style, big ford flanges as they have more brake options with those.

Or just do it the other way and keep your stock brakes.:bigthumb

My car is more street than strip. Id really like to keep my abs but Im not fully against it yet. What are axel braces? I know that sounds stupid but I just want to make sure I understand everything before I start to build.

I used the small 9" ends on mine. Used some aerospace brackets then had them modified to accept stock rear calipers. not sure on the ABS deal though. I'm sure there is a way to do it though.

This one would let you use 05+ brakes and doesn't mention not being able to use the ABS. I'm not sure what it would take to make it work but I plan to give it a try on my car.

Moser makes small 9in ends for use with factory 8.8 brakes. These are what is on my turbo car with the strange brakes. I also just did one for Adragon. Yes the axels are different. Give me a call if you need a quote.
