Just looking for something fun for me and my kids to play with.

You looking for battery or gas powered? I have a little RC copter that is pretty fun.

Battery would be nice but gas is always a possibility. I don't think I want a helicopter, I would crash the damn thing and well you get the picture...lol

if you can find a traxxas Slash at a good buy jump on it. It is hands down one of the best all around for you and the kids too. My boy is 8 and has hit his into just about everything and it keeps going.

Thanks, I will keep it in mind. I am going to visit the hobby shop here in the next day or two.

I have 2 traxxas electric trucks both need the speed controller replaced. I'd let one go pretty cheap.

You don't want pics from my phone they are terrible. What I have is an E-maxxx I don't have a cover for it you'll need one of those if it matters to you.

I second the Slash, especially in the brushless 4X4 form. A very close second would be a brushed E Revo. The brushless version of the E Revo is restarted fast before you put good lipos on it! A 1/16 E Revo VXL is also a good choice if you keep your grass mowed short. They're cheap and take one hell of a beating. I've only broken one control arm on mine and that's when I was bashing in a skate park and jumped over the end of the half pipe.

I really need to get my other one fixed I think it's cool how it is 4x4 and will take off from a dead stop and jump 3 feet in the air off a 12 inch hill. The down side of being geared like that is that the battery is good for about 4-5 minutes max. Have to be careful on takeoff or it will just flip over too. That is how I broke the cover.

Alan, are you running lipo batteries and a brushless motor? 5 minutes seems like a short run time. We're getting 30-35 minutes from stock nimh packs on a Emaxx brushless edition. Closer to 45 minutes from 5000 mAh lipo packs.

Alan, what ESC was it you needed?

I have a Slash 2wd sitting here, I upgraded to brushless motor, think I only ran it once since.

Stupid fast comes to mind :)

Besides, if you need Traxxas parts, short trip to the Dayton Mall area to get them!

I have two. One has a Mustang body. It is pretty high dollar. The other is a Celica. Just a general RC car. You can buy different bodies for the Mustang I have. I am pretty sure that I don't have the battery for the Mustang, and possibly not the charger. I will have to look. I will try to get pics of them tonight and send them to you. If you want them, they are yours. They have been sitting in the basement collecting dust for about 5 years.

I just got two RC rock crawlers and they're pretty awesome. Kinda crazy the stuff they'll climb and how well the suspension really works.

OK Rob, quit bragging....lol.

Pyro50

There aren't any markings on it. I bought it for my Husband when he had shoulder surgery. I paid well over $100 for it then. It is one of those that come in a thousand pieces that you have to put together. The only marking is the receiver and it is a Futaba.

Anytime. I see you live in Franklin. I work in the Northern Sharonville area. Almost in Butler County, so it might be easier for you to get them then. If not, then the weekend is fine. I can meet you somewhere with them also.

Did you get the picture I sent you of them?

I also have a gas powered plane with all the accessories too.........LOL!

If Alan doesn't want the plane, I'd be interested in it!

When would be a good time to meet up. I am off work @ 3 pm. Then I am free the rest of the day.

HAHA! Sounds good. Just make sure they know that Dad might have to buy a battery and a charger if I can't find them, so they might have to wait until you go to the store to run them. :)
