Ok so have started tearing down my top end. 95 5.0 . I am installing headman shorties, gt40 upper and lower , gt40p heads 70 mm throttle body , eddy elbow, Have h pipe back and cai and 3.55s now.
Have all gaskets and new head studs. I have researched a lot and just have a few questions . Just so I can be clear. I do however want to keep the stock cam.

With the gt40p heads is where my ?s come from they are milled .020 fresh valve job and they were drilled for bigger Head bolts.
1. Can I use the stock springs if I'm gonna keep the stock cam?
2. Stock length push rods?
3. Stock rockers? Or should I upgrade
4. Do I need the bushings since head was drilled for bigger bolts

Thanks for any and all help I have been reading and reading and was just hoping for a clear answer

Do not reuse the stock springs. Go with comp cams 942-16 springs if your on a budget or get the TFS spring kit if you don't mind the extra $. If you wanna keep the stock cam go with a set of crane 1.7 rockers. You can re use your stock pushrods if there in good shape. Hope this helps.

You will either need to purchase the bushing kit or better yet, I do believe ARP makes a head bolt for that application. It will have the bigger body w/ the correct thread diameter and also it will be a much stronger bolt.

X2 on the spring change.
Get an adjustable pushrod from summit, that way there will be no second guessing when you measure. The rod length.
Stock rockers are ok, but if you want rollers, you can get a specific kit, or you can have the heads machined for 3/8 studs.
Just a thought but look into miller roller rockers.

Pushrods are fine, only .20 milled it will be ok, I would at least use bolt down roller rockers, no reason to have heads machined for stud mount, do springs while it's apart, cheap assurance against valve float, you "should" have the springs set up, not just toss any in there, too less, or too much spring pressure can mess things up... do it right, because when it comes apart later, its expensive....

This was a valve fail in one of my boat engines, mine was due to valve breaking, but valve float can cause same thing, do it right, this cost me lots of money, but boat engines see way more abuse

ARP makes a head bolt so you dont need to use bushings or anything.
