i got a marlin 60 22lr semi auto im gonna unload soon, and i wanna replace it with a bolt action 22lr, something with iron sites for now... single shot is okay, but i would prefer a mag or tube fed. im not gonna put any money on top of the purchase when i sell the marlin so its gonna be about 125 150 maxx any ideas??? right now im seeing a few good choices the Stevans Model 86D and the remington 514.

Anyone have any other ones to look into?

Check Gunbroker.com. Savage makes a good bolt action 22lr, their MKII series, but I'm not sure if they have irons. If you find a used gun online you will need to have it shipped to an ffl dealer (local gun shop).

I use Deadwood Guns and ammo in Carlisle, OH. https://sites.google.com/site/deadwoodguns/home

It will be hard to find a good rifle at that price point, not impossible, but you will have to look and go to gunshows most likely.

I have a savage I gave 150 for and came with cheap Simmons scope. Best cheap .22 for sure, I've put thousands of rounds through it without any problems. Check out buds guns

Henry or Marlin leverage are cool. My favorite 22 is 10-22

I ended up just selling mine never bought onde, needed the money to keep the car. I have a 10-22 timido, by far the best one out there

I have a winchester 67 . Single shot bolt action. Not looking to get rid of it but everyone who has shot it loves it.

If you're willing to wait, and prefer a new gun, look at Dicks Sporting Goods. They routinely put up the Savage Mark 2 (and the semi auto version, I can't recall the model) for $150 with a magnified optic, rings, and bases. I've cut clotheslines down at 45 yards with mine.

If you're just after a cheap rifle that's pretty darn good, the Marlin 795 goes on sale for $99 in their circulars as well. It's a mag fed semi auto.
