I had a stock '95 Cobra back in 1999-2002. Looked great but in stock form it was a turd. Took it to the track and could never even break into the 14.'s with it. Now it did have 2.73 gears if I remember, but it was still a turd.

That being said...I wish I never sold it.

The 4v cars run real good. I liked the old Gould car. It was fun to just hop in and drive and still went 13.30's with just a gear and exhaust. I just hate working on them!

If I had a choice the only cobra I well own in that body style would be a 4v. I loved the one I had. Never had any problems with it either.

Yeah I am not 100% on mine, but I do know the 1994 Pace Car Cobras came with 2.73's....or at least my friends did. I remember thinking that was odd for a performance Mustang. His dad bought it for him new as a graduation present so I know it had not been messed with. (But that may have been because it was special edition parade car or something.)

I think a 15.1 was the best I got mine to go. Maybe a 15.0, but I know it never broke 14.'s. My completely stock '92 AOD ripped off a 14.8 and I remember thinking that was the fastest I had went at the track...at that time.

If you want a redheaded stepchild of the 5.0 world, get a 94/95 Cobra. I had one..

Do a cam swap in one with 4.10s and it should wake up. The stock 94-95 cobra cams were terrible

I just bought a 95 GT with 9,800 miles for $8,900....my plan was to buy a 94-95 cobra, but I could not find one in the shape this GT is in for anywhere near the price. Both are slow, so I knew I would have to spend some $$$ to make with one of them fast.

Good luck with your search.....

All 1994 Cobra convertibles were pace cars , and limited to production number of 1000,but yeah I've never heard of one w/ a 2.73

I agree a cam , and 4.10 gear helps a lot .
