Unless you are pushing about huge HP or your tailpipes are way undersized- there will be no significant difference either way.

I was just wondering this since I am coming close to not being to run tailpipes due to the rim/tire combo about to go on the car. I like my tailpipes, but I guess its back to running dumps again.

When you say huge HP what range are you talking?I'm in the 300 plus range at the rear wheels,I am undecided whether or not to put mine on.surely some of these dyno guys have some input.
I like the look of tail pipes. Esp the long ones on the lx. I have dumps though.

In my experiance in the past, tails VS no tails dont matter, I had a buddy run 9.80's with 2.5" super turbo cat-back (sleeper car) and only gained .2 with cat-back off the car and open headers..
My own cars, never made a difference either way, I always had 11 sec cars though..

ii had bought the flowmaster american thunder kit new (lx style) and now i am undecided if i am going to use the tailpipes ,the sad thing is if i dont use the tailpipes then i just gave 369 for flow tubes and mufflers dayum...i need to figure this out.

300 HP is not what I'd call huge HP. At that level, there's gonna be no difference.

when i made 440hp i picked up 15HP on the dyno by taking the 40 series flowmasters off and adding race bullets.
