I have a 04 gt an for.about 2 years now the throwout bearing has been screaming, havent changed it cause it kept my led foot at bay, well i just changed it and the fork, it still makes a noise not loud at all an it drove fine but now it wont go into gear at all, i did everything right, checked it 3 times, any suggestions? Im thinking of going ahead an.buying a complete clutch kit, maybe like stage 1 or 2? Something for daily.driving and maybe a few track passes, any and all suggestions are much appreciated, or if someone is selling a clutch kit for it I'd like to look into it

As far as making sure it's right, make sure the fork is located properly. Then if you still have your stock quadrant, it probably needs adjusted. There really isn't that much too them

Ya but the clutch feels like your pushing against butter, its real soft, i went ahead an ordered a spec stage 1 an spec aluminum flywheel, since fork is brand new ill just do a whole clutch

Ill just pass along the suggestion given to me when I did my clutch. I was told to use a Ford Racing TOB. And check your retainer sleeve make sure its nice and smooth. I think I put some antiseize grease on the sleeve. These are just some suggestion that were given to me. I know you probably know what your doing. Good luck with your clutch.

It sounds like your quadrant is out of adjustment.

if your looking for a nice street strip clutch, i recommend the centerforce dual friction. ts less pedal pressure than my stock.

^ well as of right now it feels.like your pushing against butter or something soft, the pedal used to be pretty stiff for a stocker

I ordered a clutch kit an flywheel from spec, i put standard on pressure plate an spline but it asks for low pedal requirements? Any ideas what that is? May sound stupid but like i said, im no mechanic lol

I am almost positive that you just need to adjust it. Do you know how to adjust it?

Ya your talking about adjusting it with foot pedal right?

Yeah. To get the best adjustment I press the clutch to the floor with one hand and track up and grab the quadrant with a glove or towel. Hold on to the quadrant and lift up on the clutch pedal slowly (it will click) until you get the adjustment you want.

The low pedal requirement means its easier to push with your foot, from my understanding. I have a spec 3 and I got the low pedal requirement. My pedal is way easier to push in than my old clutch. But my other clutch was aftermarket also and was bad. I have an 04 Cobra but it should be the same concept as the GT. I also have an adjustable quadarnt and a triple hook. Good luck with it. If you have any questions or need help, dont hesitate to ask.
