TT stands for Tourist Trophy. It's a form of open road racing popular in Europe (such as at the Isle of Man). NSU (one of the four rings of Auto Union/Audi) used the name TT on a sports car as early as the 1960s.

Tourag is a reference to a nomadic people of the Sahara desert. It's a reference to VW's success in the Paris-Dakar rally.

I assume the Eos is reference to the Greek island (convertible). Kind of like calling a car a Malibu or a Capri.

Rapide is a name that Aston Martin/Lagonda has been using on their 4-door cars since the 1930s. It's a bastardization of Rapid (i.e. fast). ;)

What more would you expect from VW? After all they released the Volkswagon Thing back in the 70's. And yes it was named correctly to give credit where credit was due. Don't know which was worse, the name, or its looks IMO.

So what does these mean ???

Just letters to differentiate the models, although I have heard that tC is short for "Toyota Celica", since the tC replaced the Celica in Toyota/Scion's model lineup.
