I get so tired of hearing the crap about gas going up. We heard the same thing last year and it never hit what they predicted (tried to get us to accept) what it was going to.

Here was my facebook status yesterday

Okay, remember you heard it here first. Just like last year, the media and oil companies are trying to prep us for high gas prices so that their stocks will rise and prices will go up. The last 2 days, 2 people have talked about gas going to 5 or 6 dollars a gallon this year. If we as people would quit being "SHEEP" and spreading these silly rumors, they will never come to be.

So, Here is the new rumor to pass around.

"Did you guys hear about gas prices this year. I heard on the news that gas is going to be the lowest it's been in years. They are talk close to $2.00 a gallon by summer!"

So, instead of passing ridiculous high numbers around pass this around! It starts now at 9:06am on 1/18/12. You can thank me this summer!

Quit being sheep for "the man" and helping to drive up their agenda.

Start passing around the $2 a gallon today on all the forums and your facebook!

It does not help when Iran threatens to close the strait of hormuz, 25% of the world's oil travels through there. Or, when our own government chooses not to build a pipeline that would help us NOT depend on foreign oil as much!!!

They can threaten all they want- that's like a lapdog threatening a Mastif.

Obama should be impeached on on the issue of his refusal to go forward with the pipeline alone. Absolutely inexcusable.

We only need the foreign oil to produce gasoline for other countries.

Regardless of what we do with the additional oil from the pipeline, just the fact that it is available will bring world prices for oil down which in turn will bring down the price of our gasoline. That is, of course, after the oil companies take a nice cut. Face it, the "little guy" that needs that gas to get to work has very little power. They've got us by the short & curlies.

Very true, but we will pay more for gas because of it.

Is to be, or is? I get lots of stuff made in the USA- more than not by far actually. When I put the linelock on my car- everything was US made. The solenoid, the brake lines, the relays, the wetherpack connectors, the wiring, and the switch. The USA still produces about the same amount of goods as we have for the last 50 years. Maybe different goods, but hey- we can't all still be farming tobacco like the colonists.

Iran has threatened this over and oever and over for decades. What do they have to do it with? Some stupid litle vessel they call a "fast boat". That is the extent of it. I was in the Straitght and the North Arabian sea aboard teh USS Constellation (CV-64) escorting Kuwaitee oil tankers and anyone else requesting such in 1989 when they threatened this crap. It won't happen and their possible nuclear threat (if that ever comes to be) won't be a threat unless Oboodwah (Obama to the left) caves like a sand tunnel over any threats.

BTW those stupid ass little "fast boats" they are yacking about on the TV are the very same ones we dealt with in 1989. These idiots come zipping out of nowhere on a collision course at fullspeed, trying to provoke a response. They turn at exactly 500 ft distance each and every time and go running, sometimes sooner if an "alert 5" fighter (was F14 now FA18) launches and is airborne buzzing them in a matter of seconds. Relax kiddies, as long as our pinheads in the executive branch don't go on an "world apologizing mission" again we will be fine IMO.

I did hear on a couple of reports that the bubble (price of oil) has a very high probability of bursting. Much like the housing price bubble did.

The price is artificially high due to Wall St. speculators (asshole investor types).
