i did these myself i thought they turned out pretty good, i will be doing my eaton soon. all i did was sand with a drill with 60 grit then 320 grit, then used a dremmel in all the grooves, then hit it with 2 diff buffing wheels

that does not work like you would think, there is one product out there but the cost is very high. just throwing a clear over it will not stick so you have to leave it more brushed and it turns yellow

I powder coat over polished parts all the time and it works quite well:bigthumb Here are some of my own valve covers I did straight out of the box. They weren't polished to perfection by the factory but still turned out pretty good. I do commend you on the patience to polish all that by hand, it is a real pita.

Yea looks good but see what i mean if we put our valve covers side by side mine would look alot more shiny. Yours looks great but has that brushed look.

Thats more about how they came out of the box than the clear. They could have been hit with a buffer one more time to really make them pop, I just don't have a good buffing wheel.
