i look at alot of project threads, for sale adds etc and im wondering why ford put all them unused holes under the hood such as in front of the strut towers,i see people filling them holes in and smoothing them over...and i think if they arent of any use why did ford put them there to begin with?

The holes you see were from earlier cars, they did not retool, if you look at a 79 then a 93....you willsee very minimal holes, now remeber, the front of the casr was also used in a cougar, T-bird, Fairmont, Zephyr asnd all the other fox chassis, thats what all the different holes are from..

O ok that makes sense, when these guys fill them in it seems to make it look way better under the hood

So they could bolt all that useless stuff on the engine side of the metal instead of hiding it on the wheel side.... got some holes on a fox you need filled in Jason?
