Have this rear end from my 99 GT. I was told the side bearings went south in it. It was supposed to have 3.55 gears in it too but Im not sure if theyll be any good or not. Only other thing is the Lower Control Arm Bolts seized up in the LCA Bushing and we couldnt get them out. Someone decided to cut on the LCA Bracket on the Rear but didnt cut TOO far to where it couldnt be fixed. I will include the Diff Cover, Axles, and whatever is left inside the rear end. No brakes or brake brackets included. Would be a great rear to have built to your specs. $125 takes it! Or will trade for a nice Black Front Bumper with Fog lights for my 99. Will get some pics tomorrow.

After looking at it closer the gears seem to be 3.27. From what I can see they are in okay shape.

Will this work for an 04 Cobra sra swap? And what will it take to repair it where its cut? Im thinking about doing a sra swap and getting rid of my irs. Curious what it will take with this rear or is it a direct swap?

It's a direct swap.

yea its a direct fit should just need to weld that cut back up. i was going to pick this up for a extra but just so far away. a great deal for it at that price.

Will my Cobra brakes work or will I have to get an adapter kit? What about the pinion flange and the abs sensor?

After reading over on SVTP it seems you may need a adapter kit for the brakes. For the Pinion flange youll need the one off your IRS. Or you can just order a new one(30-40 bucks). After looking up the part numbers for the ABS sensors they are the same but again people are saying they are different... Maybe someone thats done the swap on here can chime in??

Yeah, Ive been over there doing some research myself. I am definitly interested I just need to find out what else Im gonna need. I cant get to you for a day or two to pick it up. I also may need to liquidate some parts to help pay for it. I really only need the housing.

Is there any damage to the housing where the bearings went bad?

I have a 100mm Steeda snub Idler, a set of stock 04 Cobra springs, and a set of polished door sill plates that say supercharged. If your interested Ill get pics. Not sure if you can use any of this stuff on your gt. I also have access to 4 2v 4.6 motors out of a crown vic. Let me know what you think and if he beats me to it.
