Nothing fancy but not to bad for a 1999 F150 XLT. Clean as a pen. 45K. Picked it up for 6700+t/t. Just put some customer exhaust on it for a little tone and some SS tips to clean it up right. Just a little deeper tone, not much, and a fine job done by Rob @ Tristate Muffler.

My DD for work. Not to shabby for a 12 year old truck I thought.

I love those HD wheels. Don't know if I would ever want to spend the money for a DD however.

Clean truck!

Thanks. You can tell it was garage kept in a temp control atmosphere. The leafs have just a hint of surface rust on them. Not a lick of rust anywhere on the truck, a one owner as well with no accidents. I need to pick up a Limited slip carrier for it. I think I can use any 8.8" standard carrier with correct spline count. The axle code 19 indicates 3.55 NON-LS. I also assume it is 31 spline but unsure of how to determine looking at the codes if possible.

Do that Gott's mod and silencer removal, like I told you about. It will sound even better!

Are you sure it has a 8.8? Mine has a 9.75

Nice find!

Nice find!

I'm goingto check the tag on the diff tomorrow. Just peaked under it and guessed 8.8 since it had the 10 bolt cover plate like the mustangs do. I knew its not the classic 9". Will check that out.

Going to do that Gotts mod as soon as it warms up a bit outside. I like that idea. Thanks. Found the web page and saved it.

Thanks.:bigthumb

Yep, 10 bolt is a 8.8.

I just got the same basic truck except with rust mods already done lol just put in a K&N and removed the silencer just like on my Expedition. You will like the feel. Putting the pipe into the fender will yield another 1hp.

Correct - Climbed up under it this mornign adn verified the tag 3 55 88.

I am assuming any limited slip carrier with accomodating spline count will function in the housing. Would love to be a True track for the 05 GT and take the LS carrier from that unit and put in the truck assuming both are 31 spline setups. I know the mustang is 31 spline, just assuming that the F150 is 31 spline also.

Just figured this might help mpg a little bit. Always liked the sound of Mom and Dad's 78 Cougar (351W) when we would flip the air breather lid upside down after we got down the road from the house back in the day. At least it sounded like wewere going faster! LOL!!!! And we thought we had really done something. HEE HAW!!!
