I've been looking around and no real luck in Cincinnati. I hear there may be a couple in Dayton. Any idea of the going rate, I know it's expensive.

I wanted to paint the bumpers body color but my dad (in his 70's) was having none of that. I'm doing the car for him so...

There is a place in cincy called d-g chrome have you tried them. Id hate to.know what a chrome bumper would cost. Im guessing around $1k if it is in good condition. Post up when you get a price. Also ask what they would charge just to dechrome it.

I got a price from a place online, actually several and it seems they were all in the $800 range as long as it's a good core.

That seems crazy expensive. Must be all the EPA stuff.

Let's put it like this, I just had a 6-piece rear bumper for my 59 Cadillac redone and it was $1000 so yours will be significantly cheaperer.

69428,
Where did you have Yours done? I called D-G and they quoted me $499. I guess thats as good as it gets?

That sounds pretty cheap to me. Did you ask them what it would cost to just dechrome it?

Hohman/Holman/Hohlman plating in Dayton. Most local shops do a good job, and their chrome is usually better than anything chromed from China. It cost's more, but you get more.

I used D-G for my chroming, that's the only placed I've used for all of my cars.
