I was just wondering, i am rebuilding the engine in a 93 cobra, do these require special attention in certain areas, i know the engine is the same platform as any other v-8 fox but they do have a few small differences, is their anything i should know before i get any deeper? Also i live right between columbus, dayton, and cincinnati in ohio, any recommendations as to where to get the head work done? Not lookin to have anything wild done, just refinish and valve job...

If you are closer to Dayton try Mike at Dayton 5.0 Performance. I have bought several things from him and had some head work done. Good turn around time compared to some places.
Just curious...did you buy the car in your avatar from me? Looks just like an '88 vert I sold a couple years ago to a college kid going to OU.

I dont think so, when i bought the car it was 100% stock, only thing ever done before i got it was oil changes and new tires on stock turbins.

Yep...mine was all stock as well. New top, black repainted recently but the silver was needing touched up. Of course Lord knows they made a few thousand in that color combo...lol.

Just curious, does a Cobra have any differant engine specs than a GT?

Cobra has the gt40 heads and intake I do believe. They had to beef up the old t5 for the engine mods.
