My friend got a '98 CV and we would like to put an interceptor computer in it so wee can remove speedlimiters and whatnot... but it doesn't look like the computer is in the passenger kick panel... where is it??
Also, will we have to deal with the PATS system if we swap computers??
Thanks

speedlimiter is in the trans not really the ecu if you truly want speed out of that thing then i can probably point you in the right direction as i specialize in the panther chassis vehicle(crownvic, grandmarquis, towncar).
your first and foremost thing to change is gears, then i would suggest swapping in a PI engine pi stands for performance improved. any panther after 01 had PI heads cam and intake.also a J mod would be in order for the transmission, but a simple few holes drilled in the separator plate will have that thing shifting quite nicley. those are just a few things for starters.
