So my turbo car should be done and dyno'd within the next month. Im curious to see what everyone thinks Ill make to the rear wheels. Here are my mods.
Stock roller 302 with 40k miles, stock ho cam with 1.7 RR, Trickflow 170cc heads with light exhaust work, edelbrock rpm intake, 75mm tbody and egr spacer, on3 turbo kit with 67mm ball bearing turbo @ 9psi, 3in single exhaust to a single 3in race bullet. redneck c4 with redneck 3400 converter, 42lb injectors, pmas blow thru meter, aeromotive stealth 340lph pump
Im guessing somewhere around 510whp/570tq

sure will....i cant wait. Its been sitting over there covered up since May of this year. Mike got very backed up and my car got put on the back burner since it came over there with a shit ton of fuel issues.

I was gonna turbo mine but it was sure to do over 5 and I was worried about the block breaking. Are you concerned about this at all?

I like Adam also for tuning but I have never got mike at Dayton to tune ne thing I would say between 450 & 500 I was goin to Turbo mine with the set up in my sig minus the supercharger of coarse Adam said at 13 pound it shouldgo over 500 with ease but every car acts different but I supercharged it instead of Turbo I'm waiting to get it tuned after christmas

Mike is a hell of a good tuner when he takes his time and no ones is standing around distracting him. Hes done two of my
Other cars and they both turned out great and made killer power.

On 9lbs, I would also think it's going to be mid 400's hp and tq.

Yea that damn thing was all over the place at 100 it looked like. I'd say 2nd gear on nitrous is pretty useless

As soon as everything is back together and mike thinks its ready. He found the fuel issue I had. Apparently I kinked a fuel line when we set the motor back in it the first time. He's replacing some fuel lines and getting it all back together.

I also wonder what general area would that push a fox ET wise? Assuming it's still a street car w/drag radials and stock weight.
Looking forward to seeing the #'s.

it should be on the rollers this week, I talked to mike today and the motor is back in it theres just a few things that need buttoned up before he starts it and straps it down.

Depends on weight and 60 ft times, Eddie(blowpastu) had 468hp (or something like that) and ran low 10s, even made a 9.90 pass on foot brake, granted it was a gutted notch but still.

I'm wondering that myself. I talked to him Monday and he was getting ready to start it. Should be running and tuned by the weekend I'd think. I just don't wanna rush him it's been this long id rather mike take his time.

#s are in but there were a shit ton of little issues that stopped the car from making as much power as it should have. Made 400rwhp and 420rwtq. The maf, and fuel pressure regulator need replaced so the car couldnt be spun past 5k rpm and my tq converter is junk and absorbing hp so Im gonna replace that stuff and take her back to the dyno for some more tuning.

When I cut the converter open I will get some pics to explain what I think is going on. I suspect the stator in this unit is the one I refuse to use because of this kind of operation. The statos restricts flow to the pump to increase the stall. When the stator freewheels it will try to make the converter more efficient. In this case I suspect the stator with a part number ending in 086 is being used and that stator has very hard pitched but very spaced out fins. it allows plenty of flow but the hard pitch makes it very inefficient. It is done to increase stall. When that particular stator freewheels at a high speed it will begin to restrict the flow in a way it shouldn't. GM discontinued use of that stator in 2004 and replaced it with the best stator they have ever built.
I just wish they were easy to find. In a few years they should be.

I would dare to say the reason Mike didn't take it past 5k was the other issues the car had. It was probably the MAF pegging causing everything to go lean, and the FPR wasn't keeping pressure correct on boost, right?

Yep your correct. I looked up that damn junk regulator and it's not boost referenced so that's the pressure issue. Mike and Tracy did a hell of a job considering all the issues they ran into. That car was a heap of problems.

That's not enough injector for E85 and boost if you make over 400. jmho. Also your fuel pump needs to be up to the task.

I have the same pump as blown96 the aeromotive 340 thats why I was curious of the air to fuel ratio at 400 on pump gas cuz I will prolly just stay with pump gas like blown did if his injectors are enough interested in seeing what it makes once bugs are worked out

You have enough pump just not enough injector. You would need 60s with e85.

Ive heard mixed reviews on those....mike told me to steer clear of them but steve has one on his 04mystichrome and it works great?

I have the sct3000 meter an have had good luck with it so far I am debating between the 355 an 327 my car is a five speed though of course I really think your car is goin to run when the kinks get worked out

355 is what i had in my blk 92gt with a 70mm turbo/302 5spd. 1st gear was pretty useless with 275/60/15 et street radials so you may wanna consider a 3.27

Mike said the duty cycle was nearing 100% on the 42lb inj. so its making over 500hp the trans and converter are just eating it up.

Well, they will support close to that hp amount and they are pegged by the datalogger. I don't think it's far off.

I have 60s and a 340 pump I should be covered there I hope to have mine tuned in about a month. My On3 kit has the slot for the meter I used my sct sensor there I hear there about the best.

You could run e85 if you wanted to.

I Would like to get this out before anyone says anything. The fact that this car did not make 500whp has absolutely zero to do with who tuned it. I took a mess of a car with alot of unknown problems and dropped it in mikes lap. He did a extremely good job unscrewing the mess and making the car right. The issues that its having now are strictly from the tq converter and a non boost referenced fuel pressure regulator, its nothing that Mike or anyone has done wrong.

I have e85 in my tank but I think its getting drained an going back to 93
