Is there any way to tell what cam I have? Was told it was e303. Also which cam should i go with, i plan on stock bore with gt40's, performer rpm intake, ford motor sport headers, and 650dp.

A stock H.O. cam would get you into the mid 12's easily. The Trickflow Stage 1 is popular and would run good....

A stock cam would pull off mid 12's? That would be great cause i plan on building engine so i can beat my dads 340 dart demon.

Mfield went 12.3x at 110 or so with a stock cam, 4.10 gear, and slicks....

Stage 1 loves the GT40s.

if you pull the cam out it will have numbers stamped on the end that goes towards back of block. If its a ecam it will have the part number stamped on it. I went 12.6 on a basically stock motor look at old setup in sig. there are def better cams than ecam but its got strong power in the low end

When I had the engine in my '85 GT rebuilt a few years ago, I went with an E303 cam. Never had it to the strip, and the engine is mostly stock except for an Edelbrock intake & carb, but it feels stronger. I need to can the 2 into 1 exhaust sometime and get real duals and I think it will really wake up.

I like mine in my t-bird but I also have 1.6 rollers rockers a 5speed and 3:27 gears I think it sounds nasty

Stage 1 loves the GT40s.

I think that's my plan if I sell my e cam...

Will the E303 run ok with GT40 heads and intake, in an '87? Or do I need to convert to MAF?

I have an e cam with the gt 40 heads an it runs great but it is a 90good may car but I would think it would do fine in your car without changing anything

I am running an E303 cam in my '85. My only other engine mods are an Edelbrock intake & carb. The heads are OE stock. Runs great.

Anderson N-21 would work well with your combo. Its a great cam for a stock bottom end and GT40s.
