what a bunch of dumb asses
i see my hood pins arrived in hebron on saturday. I'm like sweet, i'll have them today.
track the package, nothing
call them, they tell me they aren't scheduled for delivery til wednesday
i'm like "we get a daily ups delivery"
they said the delivery is "scheduled" for wednesday, so they can't deliver them until then.
LMFAO

I can believe it man. We order parts vendor direct for customers, we get a ship date and it comes 2-3 days later. They usually blame it on the warehouse.or getting redirected. Happens way to often too.

I've never had a problem with Fed Ex and they even deliver to my house on Saturdays.

Fedex has been pretty decent but I have had a couple situations of them leaving the package at wrong locations an not showing up on Saturday when the parts where suppose to be there but that's only been the two instances

F*** fed ex. I ordered some pushrods from Jegs and my tracking said it was already delivered. Well guess what I didn't have them. So I called and they said they would put a trace on them and I said I need them now that's y I paid overnight shipping the lady said well order more and return these when we find them. Needless to say this really pissed me off well after a couple of day a neighbor up the road found them and brung them down to me. The driver dropped them off at the wrong persons house and fedex didn't even send him back out to see where he dropped them off at so much for that so called trace. I hate fedex and will never ship through them unless its my only option.

you all have legit complaints, but think about how many pieces of frieght these guys handle... if you go by numbers only i'm sure mistakes are pretty even across the board for usps, ups and fed-ex...

At the shop I work at we do a lot of work for fed ex and me being the purchasing manager I ship tons daily by fedex and as far as deliveries go. Fedex is the best I'll order something at 3:00 one day and have it first thing the next morning. If you want something really fast you need to specify fedex air next day and either P1 or P2 depending on if you want it in the morning or the afternoon. Even if the place you're getting parts from doesnt offer next day air on their site call them and complete your order and then tell them how you want it shipped.

FED EX sucks at life in my opinion.
There are no guarntee delivery date since its all subcontracted drivers who pick and choose what to deliver to get paid. UPS will always be my first choice in shipping.

Agreed, if you ship ground, and it takes 2 days to get there, you get it in 2 days.
Not none of this. "Well, it's not due til wednesday, so were going to sit on it 3 days"
So today, i'm going to have to have the wife spend $20 in fukin gas to go to the hub to pick up a fukin 40 part.

Yeeeahhh. You're a little off there Brandon. Fed ex is not all sub-contracted drivers. Yes most of the "longhaul" drivers are, but they sign contracts for which runs they want and I imagine they would get in major trouble if they turned a load down because it's not what they want. Most of their linehaul drivers are company drivers. The ones that leave in the evening and get back in the morning that is. And all their package handlers are company employed.
And beef make sure you can go pick it up. I'm pretty sure you can't just go to their hub and get it.

I am not 100% sure. But, I was told by I believe a UPS guy that FedEx drivers own there truck and are paid per delivery. This is 2nd hand but sounds about right for the way they deliver LOL. Deliver 40 boxes in this 5 mile circle or drive 20 miles to deliver 3 boxes.
Either way UPS for the win ;)

That's FEDEX Ground that is private owners- not the regular Fedex. Fedex = red/orange. Ground Fedex=blue/green

Fedex ground is who I had trouble with

Whether ground or freight the people that hand you a package or drop off at your door are company paid by the hour. It's the geniuses in the office that come up with the delivery date shit. The package handlers get paid hourly and could care less.

Exactly. I guess I am just lucky enough to be on a good route for ground because I never have any issues with either Fed Ex or Ground. UPS on the other hand...well they normally deliver around 5:00 PM which is great because I am usually home by then. However, when ever they need a signature to deliver they come during the day when most people are at work and no one is home to sign for it. The result is that I get to spend an hour and a half in the car to to drive to Springfield to pick it up.

My boss use to run a fedex route part time and yes you supply the truck or what have ya and the driver is a sub. And they will not go out of their way to deliver just a few packages if not needed. They will instead wait untill they have several packages going to the same area. Bunch of BS if you ask me. After he told me that I made sure that I have all my stuff delivered to work up here in the city.

Ordered something from Amazon and thought id save a few bucks and use the Fedex/USPS Smartpost service. Item left Indy via fedex, went to Hebron, then to Columbus. Fedex then hands it off to USPS, now to Cincy, then to Batavia, then I get it. 6 business days.............................................w tf

I ordered a hickory farms box. After a week I checked the tracking number and its been dropped off on my porch. I never received it. Called up hickory farms and let them know. They ship another box out. Two days later I received a box. It has a letter stating its the first box and they dropped it at the wrong house. The second box should arrived today.

Just stick to UPS and call it a day. As of late, UPS has really started to get their delivery times together. It used to be that it seemed like it was always 5 days no matter what. The last 5 packages I have shipped have arrived all within 3 days, and 2 of those were to Cally, and at a reasonable rate as well. No longer do I use Fedex for anything.

FedEx/UPS are def not losing money. Leave that for the government controlled USPS...the only company still operating after NEVER turning a profit!

Anyone catch the news this AM? There was a short video of a FEDEX driver pitching a Samsung LCD monitor over a security fence during delivery rounds. It was all caught on video and the driver is being ripped a new one over the deal. The homeowner was in the house when it all happened. What a putz!

Fed ex sent a tube preamp for my home stereo across the country and dropped it off in california. They had to go back and get it. Lol problem is they almost lost 2000 bux, so they were more than willing to go look for it. Got it delivered 2 weeks from when it was supposed to be delivered. They called me everyday to tell me they were still looking...Thats the only time ive had issues with them and still use them
