Well, some of you know, I did a motor swap to a higher compression motor to see if I could get a little faster, BUT, as you can see, you cannot take a stock bottom end from a 06' Grand Prix GT that is not made to take alot of HP and put a big cam and 14lbs of boost to it, you end up with this:

http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh134/seanspic/SANY1668.jpg
I found all kinds of pieces in the intake when I pulled the S/C off:
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh134/seanspic/SANY1709.jpg
That was after I pulled the big chunks out too.
The supercharger is trash too, it sucked pieces up into it and now it will barely turn. Good thing I have a spare on the shelf that I bought about a month ago for next to nothing.:D
Oh, here is the hole that was in the back of the motor that took out the KR sensor:
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh134/seanspic/SANY1710.jpg
It came out in two pieces:

Head damage was not as bad as what I thought it was going to be, I think Brian up at BES can fix'm up for me:

Pieces of piston caught in between the valve and valve seat:
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh134/seanspic/SANY1728.jpg
After pulling the oil pan off, I can see right through the motor now:

Well, I ended up finding all of my parts in the oil pan, the windage trey did not have a chance:
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh134/seanspic/SANY1731.jpg
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh134/seanspic/SANY1732.jpg
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh134/seanspic/SANY1739.jpg
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh134/seanspic/SANY1742.jpg
I still cannot believe that my heads did not take more of beating considering what is in the oil pan.
My cam, that had only 30 miles on is not a big paper weight:
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh134/seanspic/IMG00392-20111119-1413.jpg
Now you ask, what is the world happen and what caused all of this? Factory rod bolts that are not rated for high HP AND stupid GM went to a smaller bolt in the later years:

Well, Hope you enjoyed. But don't worry, I have a plan and hope to be back even better next season. Heads redone, some porting, polish and port a new intake, polish my inlet to my other S/C, and another cam. I hope to get into the 11.4x or 11.3x this season if all goes right:bigthumb
Thanks for looking.

Well, if you are going to do it, you might as well do it right. No need to hold back:rolleyes:
I wish I would have remembered to get my time slip, to see how I did, even though it let loose a little after the 1/8th and before the 1000.
The crazy thing is, is that my scan looked good and was running pretty good and then KR went up to 7 degrees and then to 0, after the parts ripped the plugs off:lol:

Cheap GM junk....
I'm almost surprised you didn't crack the trans case too. That is good and blow'd up. Got JB Weld? :)

Yeah, the weak link is a L26 style motor with small rod bolts. Needless to say, I will be using my old block that I have beat the crap out of over the last 3 years. AND use my ARP rod bolts

I guess I have gone from a boy to a man now, because I was feeling the peices hit the floor board as I was going doen the track. After getting the car in the air, I even have a small dent in my 304 SS exhaust where piece hit it.

A little. I was more worried about my heads more than anything, since you can buy them any more.

Yes, yes you are right, cheap GM junk. They went to a powdered rod and smaller bolts on the connecting rod to save money, so yes you are right.
The trans case has a small dent in it from where the piece came out the back of the motor, I need to look at a little closer to make sure it did not crack it.

I was think about taking the pic of oil pan and blwing it up and hanging on the wall in the garage as "art" work.

The L67 came with the SC, you are thinking of a L36, that was N/A, and there alot of guys that do the top swap and put the S/C on the N/A motors.
The motor I just trashed, that was a 06' L26 N/A that I did do a top swap with. Which after the fact, I found out that they went to smaller rod bolts and powered rods. Oh well, you live and learn.

That is what I meant, NA Bottom, SC top.
At least there are a couple gazillion NA motors out there....
