i was offered a '71 429scj motor and trans from a '71 gran torino,was wondering from those of you who been around this stuff,is this motor worth
much money and power wise,and was it a good powe producer,and last but not least what might it be worth,it is complete carb to pan,oil cooler totail shaft

i cant really picture a 429 being down on power :lol: and if its from 71 that was before all the HP restrictions so it probably makes some power!

What are you looking to do with this engine?
How much are they asking for it?
If this is in fact a true 429 SCJ engine, it could be worth what they are asking.

if its a real scj the heads will be p/n D00E-r and the block will be a p/n DOVE cast in the blk pass side above the starter ,any other castings numbers and its not a 429 cj/scj
they can bring decent money.

If you can pick it up cheap it's something you could make a pretty penny on.
