Question about Valve spring and cam.

My heads are box stock Eddy RPM's.

Paper work on the heads says .575 Max lift.

Ive done some math and I would not be anywhere close to the .060 coil clearance problem till some where north of .600" lift. Any one have any info as to why I cant run a cam larger then .575 lift?

That is the spec for the valve springs themselves, if you are going to run a bigger lift cam you just need to get the matching valve spring kit. It might not be a bad thing to also check your valve to piston clearance as well.

I would get a set of new valve springs to match the cam if you get one.

Im digging around for some new cams. Its looking like I might be getting a custom grind.
