Anyone on here done a 3.0L Duratec swap into a CSVT before? I'm picking one up this week with a hurt motor it sounds like and am going to swap it out with a 3.0. I found a place in M-town that has a 76k mile motor out of a Taurus that is still in the car that I can hear run for $380. I figure between that engine and what I have, it's pretty straight forward?

I swapped an 07 escape motor into one with Kevin. It's mostly a matter of getting the motor mounts to work, mainly the top pass side mount. Then you have to grind off part of the block for the contour alternator bracket. There's a few ways to go about it, swap H/C/I from SVT motor onto the 3.0 short block or do a full 3.0 swap. We did the full swap and it wasn't too difficult, you may have to buy a fuel return kit depending on the year of the car. So are you actually going to complete this one before selling it? haha

I'm going to retain the upper and lower intake mani from the CSVT but use the longblock from the 3L.
Where did you buy the fuel return kit?
And yes I do, lol. I may not have a choice, I have a guy very interested in the Lightning. And if you guys can figure it out I'm sure I can hahaha

What year is the taurus motor? you may not be able to use the SVT intake depending on how "new" the other motor is. You'd have to ask Kevin or get on CEG and look around. Honestly I'd get on CEG (contour.org) anyway and start checking out all the swap info. I'll take your word for it, I'm rooting for ya on this one lol.

Just looking around right now. Found several on car-part.com for $500 or less with under 70k miles. I've been a member on CEG for a long time. I'm digging around on there right now to see what I can't find out.
