When a friend built a 1000HP+ (427 Windsor + F1R), it was Trickflow all the way....I've heard good and bad about both brands, but I always hear more about Trickflow when it comes to power.

Is a set of CNC'ed TFS Highports in your budget range? Both the heads you have listed will work and make good power..but I'd lean toward the AFR's if that's your only options.

Between the two options I believe the Trick Flows are better for the SBF's.
You need to remember you are going to get multiple opinions, that does not make either head incorrect.

You can get a set of TEA/TFS 205cc TW heads with the nitrous exhaust port for just a little more than the standard 205cc from Summit. They're comperable in cross sectional area to the AFR 225, but keep the stock exhaust location.

High ports over the AFR's all day. I'm a little partial to the R's.

I'd buy the 205 TW head.

If you get them from TEA you get the upgraded spring package too.

had not considered the high ports till tony at bes mentioned them as being better in a blown application,so i'm leaning more towards the trick flow's, but got to get some more feedback bout the highports

i do like the cost and advertised flow #on the cnc'd 205's out the box version
