Picked this up a few days ago and found out the engine is bad. I want something ready to go.

1999 Honda TRX 400ex
-Complete quad
-Pro Taper handle bars
-White Brothers E Series slip on
-Matching dunlop tires with life left. Left rear has a plug
-K&N conical air filter inside the stock airbox

Engine will need rebuilt or replaced. I haven't pulled the engine yet to determine the extent of the engine damage. The plastics are there but they need replaced as well. Both front and rears are cracked. The quad is dirty. Would make a good, cheap project or part it out and make some money.

I'm going to keep the bars off this bike so I'll take $500 for it. It will have stock handle bars instead.

i would throw out a offer but dont want to seem like a ass but can find ready to go 400ex on craigslist all day from 1250 to 1750. without seeing quad it seems it take more to get it going then that. 400ex you get them a dime a dozen it seems like these days

It ran when I jumped it when I went to buy it. Haven't tried since I got it home. I did jump the solenoid and got it cranking, but it won't start.

I'll take $300 if I keep the slip on exhaust. I will include the pro taper bars though.

Ok i'll send some. It did fire up when it was push started when I went and first looked at it, but it smoked and it's definitely making some bottom end noise. You can't ride it like this whatsoever. It's $300 :lol: I think Kenny has a PC'd frame for that much.
