Yes, 9 cars from around the country.

There were 10 invited that had submitted applications. 2 dropped out right before the race as they didn't get the cars completed.

Michael Johnson called me at 7pm tuesday and asked if I could fill a spot. One of the guys that dropped out suggested me as a replacement as he knew i had an overall decent car.

I was on the road 22 hours later. I wish I'd had more time to play with the new dyno tune and add some spray. I think i'd have a legitmate shot.

With the dyno problem, i don't think theres any way I can win.

yeah, it was funny, in the vid, they ask 5 guys what they think they will run before hand, all were off by 1-3 seconds. 6 of the 9 guys were making excuses,

the white cobra laid down almost 1100 rwhp, the white 11 laid down over 900

before we ran, i told everyone worst case, i would be 3rd quickest, but probably 2nd. I knew Cruz's car had been 10.0's on dr's at not as good of a track, i told him he would go 9.8's to 9.7's and he did. I knew what I would run. and i knew bachota had a 10.4-10.5 car, he stepped it up to 10.3's. other than that, excuses were flying.

i don't know that bbr's white 11 has ever made a clean pass down the track. the white 04 either.
