Either an 8pt roll bar or 10pt moly cage forsure. The engine is coming out after the tracks close, but I haven't decided what I'm going to do with it yet. Maybe a fuel system if needed. Don't really have set plan yet. Def going to be making some more power next year though.

Hopefully everyone plans on lots of powdercoating:rockon::rockon: My plans are to replace my 347 w/ a dart block 427. Its low compression but will probably just run it next year n/a while I figure out if I'm going to go turbo or blower. I'm also going to try out McCleod's new hydraulic clutch setup.

Hopefully get some nice lightweight brakes, different radiator setup, and try to find a little more power. Hoping to get this thing super light so adding the weight in the rear to make it scale out good doesnt kill it. We'll see what happens!!! Goodluck everyone!!!

Paint ,a cervinis heat extractor hood , get my 373 gear in it , maybe port and polish the heads and intake . Buy some 42 pound injectors and get the novi 1000 on it. Last but not least buy some drag radials for the extra set of polished wheels i have for this thing.

You ain't kidding!! Every time Craig gets a chance he's trying to think of a way to add rollers to the parachute mount so he can "ride them out" as he says, lol. There's a lot of times I just have to shake my head and walk away, lol.

Motor and trans already out, headed down to see Zimmers Performance Fab Sat. to have the subframe connectors, battle boxes and UPR'S anti rollbar kit welded in. Going to set up a time to have a 12 point cage welded in. As for the engine it is basicly stock with a few bolt ons and an e-cam. Have a edelbrock performer intake, 24 lb injectors and planning on a set of performer heads plus a 150 shot for next year. Planning on cutting the skin off the roof, car has a sunroof, want to put a roof on with no sunroof. Hoping to get it in primer before the Preston Cup.

Hopefully getting some new suspension pieces like a kemember, rear coil overs, and control arms. I want to work on getting my 60 ft times consistant. Or at least that is the goal. Oh and some new axles and a smaller gear.

I gotta get a hood, finally put my long tubes on, get a TFS nitrous plate and hook that up. and then get it tuned!!!

10-20-2011, 08:18 AM
Hopefully I'll be getting the pile of parts I have curently in the car over the next couple of months. Then with any luck I can scrape together enough extra cash to rebuild the rear end with a spool, axle brace, 33 spline gun drilled axles, and either 4.56 or 4.88 gears depending on where the new engine makes power. If all that goes well then hopefully some Aerospace brakes front and rear then its done.

I just want to get my turbo lx back from dp tuned and running good so I can drop it off at alleys performance for the suspension upgrades, mini tub, wheels, tires and whatever else duke decides to throw at it to get it in the low 10s high 9s. Then off to charlie for a slick paint job.

i have to get some stuff off of my truck for you to coat!

so...powder coating some things, cleaning up the engine bay/hiding wires, and whatever else i can think of that isn't expensive lol.

go turbo, kenny. you won't regret it:rockon:

edit- re-stall the converter also.

I will just be happy with getting my engine back together and able to drive my car again. Hopefully I will be able to make some nice boost numbers and go from there.

I am going carbureted. Just sold my efi victor 5.0 intake. I am buying a quick fuel 750. TFS fast as cast 190 heads and either a Anderson N-91 or a solid roller tight lash cam. I am swapping out my 1 5/8 headers for 1 3/4 and my 2 1/2 X pipe for a 3" X pipe. Moving up from UMTR SS to QS next year. I'm done with the EFI crap.

Not sure. Still up in the air as to whether I want to keep racing with nmra or just throw some parts at it and start with the 8.5 local racing. If I stick with nmra, then I will be putting my extra engine together this winter, and possibly going through the current one even tho it's still making decent power. Probably just going through the wiring under the dash and tossing everything I don't need anymore and touching up the paint on the roll bar are in order as well.

Well I'm glad to read that some of the local tuners have winter projects too

Honestly need to spend some time on suspension. Upgraded rear control arms, adjustable shocks, and a pair of 15" wheels with ET Streets. Got the power now need to make it work. Under the hood - more cooling - upgrade radiator, possibly a larger capacity tank for the intercooler and/or larger intercooler for better IAT's. Of course an Aluminum D/S wouldn't hurt either. Then again maybe just trade the whole thing for a 03/04 cobra terminator convertible, do pulleys, CAI, exhaust, and tune and keep it all fun.

I have a ton of work to do this winter.

1995 Lightning
Get it back from the painter
detail interior and engine compartment
install long tubes X pipe and mufflers
Install S-trim injectors and meter
Pick up a set of 99+ lightning wheels and modify them to fit
Install lowering kit

1995 Cobra
switch head unit out to S-trim
Have it re-tuned
Switch rubber fuel lines out for braided

Baja Outlaw
Change pulley on the head unit to increase boost
Would like to have it put back on the dyno to see if it will make 850+ with more boost but probably wont have time
re-tune for the increase in boost

1989 Vert
Install F-cam and change valve springs
fix small exhaust leak near collector

Yea I have a busy schedule this winter

My main objective this winter is to have Charlie paint my car(back to original color,of course). I may faceplate my tremec also, which should be enough to get it into the tens. May be moving up to a s-trim also.:D

I'm gonna try to restore this 92gt I picked up. It needs a new headliner, cowl panel, some paint work and possibly a h/c/I combo with a dry shot. It runs so good the way it is it's hard to justifying tearing into it.
