I know some people on here ride and my father inlaw and brother inlaw trail ride quite often and I have been thinking about buying a new Utility ATV. Just wanting some feedback on people who have purchased thinking they might ride and then the unit just sits in the garage. Spending 7-10K on a toy is a pretty big chunk of change for a garage filler.
ALso any input on size and make and model opinions appreciated.
I am looking at a new 2010 can am outlander 650xtp or a 2012 Kawasaki brute force 750.. I can get pretty solid deals on both

i am in the same boat as you, i really like the artic cat thundercat 1000, the kawasaki brute force 750i, and you also got the new can am 1000s.
i am thinking i want the thundercat 1000 but i am type of guy that likes to be able to go where ever i want to go and be the fastest. if you look at the artic cat models look at the way the front diff locks try to find a older one.
the brute force 750i is my second chose though

I plan on doing lots of trail riding myself. I just bought Honda 450r that is built for Pro XC racing for a Honda Factory rider. It was built for the 2007 season but the guy retired at the end of 06 due to an injury. So the quad only has 15 hours of recreational use on it.
Alot of people buy quads and then never ride them so sell them right away. Look around and see if you can find a barely used one and save alot of money! Unless the new deal is that great

I really like the new Arctic cat wildcat, However the price is pretty salty on that as well. My cousin owns a dealership in texas and will sell me any unit at dealer cost. I can get a 2012 brute force 750 for $7600 shipped to my door. Or the can am outlander for $8400 to my door. I have a hard time buying used because if a quad isnt taken care of it can be a money pit.
