Last Saturday, I pulled the motor out of the Grand Prix to switch over to a higher compression motor, new cam and put in a new TQ conveter.
Last night I got it running, but I forgot to put some RTV on a couple of the water pump bolts and I am leaking coolant there. The new oil Pressure sending unit that I installed has a slow leak too, but I think I just need to tighten it.
So, it looks like I will not be making it to the track tomorrow as I had hope:mad:
I will say this, the car sounds completly different than what it did before. I hope to get all the little stuff wrapped up by Staurday and drive the car around to get some logs to dial in the fueling a little bit.
At least I tried. I only have about 24 working hrs into it, which I think is pretty good for pulling the motor tearing a block all the way down, cleaning everything, scrapping all the gasket, and putting it back together to a running state back in the car.
I will post up pic later on in the Project section once I get them off my camera.
